Heaven help me! Heaven help me! I kept repeating over and over in my head, simply trying to make sense of this whole situation. We we're friends, that's all it was and sadly that's all we'll ever be. As he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me ever so close to his warm body. I could practically feel his heart beating in his chest. He stroked my hair as we watched the images on the screen flicker on by.
He played with my hair as his attention slowly moved from the screen to me. He gently picked me up and turned me over to face him. As I looked deeply into his hazel-green eyes my heart melted. I could stare endlessly into those eyes forever and never get bored.
I had opened my eyes. Did I fall asleep? I looked around. He wasn't there. Great, another dream. I sighed heavily and got up from my bed. I accidentally smacked my head against my doorframe, which caused me to yell out in pain and frustration as my inner-klutz had come out.
I heard footsteps come out from the long narrow hallway of my apartment. Nic finally appeared a mere two feet from me with a puzzled look on his face. "You okay? What'd you do?"
"Nothing." I replied. "Just bein my old klutzy self." Which earned a chuckle from him.
"Never too late for that is it?" He snickered. I found myself flipping him off in a matter of seconds. "Love you too!" He shouted, while making his way back into the kitchen.
Yeah, friend love. Only a couple of dumbasses that are high on caffeine could ever come up with that, not that any of us minded. We all loved each other, in a brotherly type way.
I had made my way through the hallway and into the kitchen where I found Damien and Blaze sitting at the kitchen table. (Obviously a nickname he had earned from all of us for some odd reason. Must've been another caffeine craze gone wrong.)
They both, almost as if planned, screamed hello at the top of their lungs. Damien noticed my boxers, that once fit snuggly around my waist, we're now slipping off my hips earning me a whistle from him. "Shut it." I tossed a pillow at him, only for him to end up catching it. "Thanks, I needed something to sleep on." He chuckled, laying his head on the pillow. He watched me as I made my way around the kitchen, going about my daily routines.
Suddenly an outburst came from the black-haired man. His mouth was slightly covered by the pillow, but you could still hear every loud remark. "You got work today!?"
I checked, and sadly, I did. I nodded and continued my routines.
Blaze, who usually never speaks until his sugar rush kicks in, decides to add a quick remark. "Suckers! I got the day off!" He chuckled. Blaze never really worked, he was an artist, he drew his comic book series at home and handed it into his editor whenever he finished. Never bothering to even change out of his pajamas.
Damien who had never worked a day in his life, looked at the other black-haired man sitting across from him at the table. Not saying a word. Damien was one of those guys that was in a band and way too cool to ever work. Nic and I on the other hand, worked at our regular minimum wage jobs. Not that we minded, we worked together and had the same shift so we always had a blast. Well, except when we're assigned the night shift.
I guess he was a little ticked off. Who knows.
He looked up at me and stuck his tongue out at me. Earning a giggle from Nic. "What was that for?" I asked him while his tongue was still out and pointing in my direction.
He slid his tongue back in his mouth, looking at me. "I dunno." He giggled.
He always did that, having absolutely no reason for his actions. He's such a five year old, but I love him. In a best friend sort of way, of course.
As the time kept ticking, Nic and I rushed to get ready. Practically busting out the door as we we're already 10 minutes late, plus traffic! God, we're fucked!
Speeding passed every car that comes in our way, we get there in about 15 minutes. Sometimes Nic's crazy, reckless driving was good. Well, only when we're late for work.
We rushed into the mall, practically knocking through the crowds that we're already there. We ran into the store we had worked at. Our jobs weren't very exciting, we worked at Java Juice, all we do is make smoothies. Nothing great about that. We went into the back and changed into our uniforms.
The only good thing about working there is getting to see him. His name is Frank. He's 5 foot 5 inches. I've always had a thing for short guys, he's so cute! He has a really nice body, with black hair and beautiful hazel-green eyes. I've had a crush on him ever since I started working there. The first time he talked to me, with that cute little smile. It really didn't help the fact that I couldn't have him. I sighed heavily and filled the customers orders with that same old frown plastered on my face.
